Funnel Dun Fly
I have always been intrigued by USD (upside down) fly patterns. It only seems natural to "hide" the hook point as much as possible from the feeding fish.
The Funnel Dun is one pattern of an upside down fly. This one is a Pale Morning Dun.
Nice looking fly! I've been tying some USD patterns of late. I was a little concerned with the winging interfereing with the hookset but I had no problems. I tie my patterns on a curved hook to get that up-turned look of some duns.I don't know if they are more effective than any other pattern but they're eye catchers.
